For the past 30 years of painting I have seen countless fascia joints that have been damaged, some even beyond repairs. They can crack, separate, bend and rot. If your fascia joints are starting to show signs of damage then its time to take care of the problem before its too late. The replacement of a fascia board can be very costly and it involves more than just the removal of the damaged board. We have tried to repair the joints by caulking or using other fillers, but this is just a temporary fix. The fillers do not hold the boards together and they dry and shrink exposing the joints again.
